This week in maths, we have been investigating the properties of a triangle, learning that it has three straight sides and three corners. We each made a triangle using three sticks and then explored what happened if we changed one of the sticks for a longer or shorter one. During our investigation, we discovered that even when we changed the size of one of the sticks, the properties of the shape meant that we had still made a triangle, even though they looked different. We discussed what had changed and what was still the same.
